New Haven, CT -- Sisters of Today & Tomorrow (SOT) celebrates its 2nd anniversary with a host of events during the month of October, including a trip to “Good Morning America” (GMA) with James Hillhouse High School (7am-9am) and SOT’s “Cocktails & Couture” Fashion Fundraiser (6pm-8pm), both taking place Friday, October 15, 2010. SOT’s “Cocktails & Couture” Fashion Fundraiser & Networking Event will be hosted by Carla Morrison, Founder/Executive Director of Sisters of Today & Tomorrow, Friday, October 15, 2010, 6pm-8pm at Jackee’s New Orleans Café, 254 State Street, New Haven, Connecticut. $25-donation per ticket.

SOT’s “Cocktails & Couture” Fashion Fundraiser & Networking Event is a fashion statement; where what you wear represents who you are. “We will choose a few event attendees to partake in our couture show & viewing; and the person who stands out will receive a gift, compliments of www.sassisoul.com,” states Morrison. The event will feature fashions from “Unique Designs” displaying Sisters of Today, Tomorrow & Yesterday; with entertainment provided by Connecticut’s #1 Female entertainer “4Eva”, who will perform Sisters of Today & Tomorrow’s Anthem, “Sisters”.

The auction items will be fashion driven, with donated gift certificates from high end to moderate department stores as well as specialty designers, salons & spas, which include: Ashley Stewart, Felicia Dietrich Designs, Unique Designs, Style 2000 and more.

“Although we’ve been in existence for 2 years, we established a chapter in New Haven less than a year ago, and have made tremendous strives through our partnerships with Hillhouse and other businesses/organizations in the community, such as Body Workers, Inner City Newspaper, Praez Occasions Custom Couture Invitations, Style 2000, Dixwell-Newhallville Senior Center, Connecticut Alumni Chapter of Howard University, New Haven Chapter of NAACP and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority (Pi Lambda Zeta chapter) which is good reason to celebrate,” states Morrison. “We are extending an invitation to the entire New Haven Community and beyond, to help us celebrate SOT’s 2nd anniversary.”
